Children's Book Illustration Exhibition
插画家通过塑造故事里的角色，为童书增加了无限的活力与魅力，也由此激发了孩子的想象力。鉴于插画家这一重要地位，阿联酋沙迦儿童阅读节于2012年举办第一届阿联酋沙迦国际插画展，致力于展示精美的图书插画。所有入围阿联酋沙迦国际插画奖短名单的作品均可在阿联酋沙迦国际插画展中展示。阿联酋沙迦国际插画展鼓励世界各地的画家向广大读者展出他们的作品。
Illustrators play a very important role in adding vitality and vigor to children’s books by shaping the characters in the stories and tales, thereby sparking the imaginations of children and youth. Given the importance of their role, Sharjah Children's Reading Festival has first launched the Children's Book Illustration Exhibition in 2012 with an aim to highlight the exquisite illustrations that have lately been featured in numerous children's publications. All shortlisted entries will be able to exhibit their works at the Sharjah Children’s Book Illustration Exhibition. The Sharjah Children’s Book Illustration Exhibition calls upon international and regional illustrators to take part in the exhibition to showcase their works to a wide group of audience.
2024年，共有来自阿联酋、意大利、西班牙、波兰、智利、韩国、日本等国家的71部作品入选阿联酋沙迦国际插画奖。
In 2024, 71 works from different countries, including UAE, Italy, Spain, Poland, Chile, South Korea, Japan, were selected into the Sharjah Children's Reading Festival Children's Book Illustration Exhibition.
其中，入选的中国原创作品共有6部，均为接力出版社出版的图书。
Among them, 6 works are from China, all of which are books published by Jieli Publishing House.

My Daddy Is a Monster

水孩的爸爸一年前出了事故，不在了，连给水孩准备的生日礼物——亲手做的帆船都没来得及完成。转眼又到了水孩快过生日的时候，每每想起爸爸，水孩就很难过。学校里爱欺负人的“狼人”还总是嘲笑水孩没有爸爸，更让水孩伤心。这一天放学后，水孩突然听到浴室的方向传来“咕嘟咕嘟”的声音，他很奇怪地跑过去一看，浴缸里竟然冒出一只绿色大怪物。不过，这只大怪物一点也不可怕，他有着可爱的笨拙身体，还有着让水孩感到亲切的眼睛。他帮水孩做好了爸爸没完成的帆船，教训了学校里经常欺负水孩的“狼人”，还带水孩去了一直梦想着去的大海。渐渐地，水孩觉得：这怪物，其实就是自己的爸爸。
Shui’s father had an accident a year ago and was gone. He didn't even have time to finish the birthday present for his son—a sailboat made by himself. In a blink of an eye, it is Shui’s next birthday. Every time when the little boy thinks of his father, he feels very sad... On this day, after school, Shui suddenly hears a sound of "glug" from bathroom. He sees a big green monster appear in the bathtub! However, the monster is not terrible at all. He has a lovely clumsy body and eyes shine kind. He helps Shui finish the sailboat, gives a lesson to a boy who always bullies Shui at school and takes Shui to the seaside! It seems like the monster is his past daddy…

Mr. Elephant is an ordinary cleaner in a small town. He is so big that no one will pay attention to him. His daily routine is cleaning, getting paid, and then buying bananas. One day, the elephant discovered the existence of bicycles and finally found his dream, that is, to own a bicycle of his own. However, life always plays tricks. After all the hardships, the elephant gets a "useless" bicycle. But, life always gives people hope as well. The elephant, who "lost" his bicycle, has gained valuable friendship. The lonely elephant has made good friends who can accompany him forever.

彩云来到无色谷

居住在山洞中的一群颜色，因为一场地震飘到了一座无色的山谷。在这个过程中，世界从无序（彩云）或无趣（无色谷）逐步走向孩子们熟悉的形态，形与色都找到了新的、稳定的共存方式，并结合成了新的生命体。散文诗的内容形式，让整本书充满了浪漫、幻想和诗意，在带给孩子们色彩教育的同时，也帮助孩子们体味色彩所引发的不同情感。
The whole story is a process in which shape and color find and combine with each other. In this process, the order gradually emerges, and the world gradually moves from disorder to the familiar form for children. Both shape and color find a new and stable way of coexistence and combine into a new life. At the end of the reading, readers finally recover peace. This book adopts prose poetry with Iwona's romantic, broad and fantasy style, hoping to make children feel the poetic intangibleness.

This book is about the magical experience that Hippo the Postman brought to Mr. Strange. As long as the doorbell rings, Mr. Strange will know that the postman is there. Mr. Strange opens the door and sees a hippo postman standing outside today. The hippo postman opens his mouth as wide as he can, and laughs at Mr. Strange. Mr. Strange follows the suit, opens his mouth as big as he can, and laughs at the postman. Unexpectedly, Mr. Strange finds that no matter how hard he tries, he just can't keep his mouth shut. He walks into the street with his mouth open and laughs at everyone. As a result, no matter children or adults, no matter vegetables, fruits or animals, they can't keep their mouths shut. On the dandelion plain, there is a little girl. She plucks a dandelion and blows it, making everyone sneeze. After sneezing, everyone can finally shut their mouths. The Monster Mount is a fantasy story about friendship and redemption. A year ago, Xia Chan disappeared. No one knows her whereabouts except her three friends. It was an afternoon of summer vacation, Ye Hu, Xia Chan, Hu Ya and Di Mei, happily headed for Monster Mount. They climbed to the top and started the game of "Monsters Catch Kids". They joined hands and sang songs while turning around. Whoever fell first was "Monster" and should be ready to catch others. Xia Chan was the first! However, she had an accident while chasing them. The three friends were frightened and ran away... A year later, Xia Chan wrote a letter to his friends, asking them to go back to Monster Mount and finishing the game. Only in this way, can she become a human girl again...
